Nagoya, Japan competition
terms and conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. The promotion is open to residents of Australia except employees of the promoter, their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion. The promoter is Mahlab Media Pty Ltd, G9, 1-15 Barr Street, Balmain NSW 2041.
2. The competition commences on 1/4/08 and closes at EST on 2/7/08.
3. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be judged on its own merit. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence entered into. The winner will be notified by mail by 30/7/08, and their name published in the spring 2008 issue of Get Up & Go. The prize is not redeemable for cash.
4. To enter, entrants must state in 25 words or less why they would like to win a trip to Nagoya, Japan. Entrants must send their completed entry (postage free) to: Reply Paid 78165, Get Up & Go Nagoya competition, G9, 1-15 Barr Street, Balmain NSW 2041.
5. The best entry, determined by the judges in their sole discretion, will win two return tickets to Nagoya flying Jetstar, StarClass valued at $7455 flying from your nearest Jetstar departure point. The winners will stay at Sofitel The Cypress Nagoya for four nights, breakfast included, valued at $1400.
6. The winners will also win a Nagoya Afternoon Tour (ex Nagoya) for two people valued at $70 per person. (No pick up service, no meals included.)
7. Flights cannot be taken during peak travel periods, including any school or public holidays. Flights are valid for six months from the date the winner is announced (from 1 July 2008 – 1 January 2009). If the prize or any part of the prize is not utilised within this period it, or the relevant part, will be forfeited. All travel must be booked at least 30 days prior to departure. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated. No modifications or exchanges will be possible and prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services.
8. All travel is subject to availability at the time of booking. All travel is subject to Jetstar’s general Conditions of Carriage. It is a condition of travel, and of accepting and making use of the prize, that all persons travelling agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and by Jetstar’s general Conditions of Carriage (available at Jetstar.com). There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once itineraries are issued, including no name changes. The prize can only be redeemed by the recipient named the winner and their nominated travel companion. The winner and their nominated travel companion must travel together on the same flights on all sectors and carry appropriate identification. Not included are airport taxes, spending money, any ancillary costs or travel insurance. Travel insurance for the winner is strongly advised. All travel documents such as passports, visas etc. that are required for the trip are the responsibility of the winner. The winner and their travel companion will not accrue Qantas Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel or accommodation.
9. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize between publishing date and the date the prize is claimed.
10. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained during the course of the prize-winning trip except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner and their companion sign a legal release form to be determined by the promoter.
