North East England holiday competition

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. The promotion is open to residents of Australia except employees of the promoter, their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion. The promoter is Mahlab Media Pty Ltd, G9, 1-15 Barr Street, Balmain NSW 2041.

The competition commences at 6am EST on 1/1/2010 and closes at 6pm EST on 1/4/2010.

Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be judged on its own merit. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence entered into. The winner will be notified by mail by 11/4//2010, and their name published in the Winter issue of Get Up & Go and the e-newsletter. The prize is not redeemable for cash.

To enter, entrants must state in 25 words or less why they would like to win a trip for two to North East England to see The Tall Ships Races in Hartlepool. Entrants must send their completed entry (postage free) to: Reply Paid 78165, Get Up & Go North East England competition, G9, 1-15 Barr Street, Balmain NSW 2041, or email their entry with their name and address to comps@mahlabmedia.com.au

The best entry, determined by the judges in their sole discretion, will win a trip for two to North East England, flying from Australia economy class with Emirates Airline to Newcastle Airport, England via Dubai. Winners will spend seven nights at accommodations including Redworth Hall (5,6,7 August 2010), Slaley Hall (8,9 August) and Langley Castle Hotel (10,11 August). All accommodation includes breakfast. Complimentary dinner for two is offered at Slaley Hall.

Emirates Airline will carry winners in return economy class from either Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane or Perth to Newcastle Airport via Dubai. Winners will have to make their own way to the closest capital city for departure.

Tour inclusions are car hire for seven nights (the car must be returned on the eighth day); Hartelpool Maritime Experience will give two complimentary entrance tickets for the Tall Ships event.

The prize must be taken for The Tall Ships Races in Hartlepool, which is on from 7–10 August 2010. Winners will need to travel from 4 August (depart Australia) and return 12 August (return from UK) as the accommodation dates have been locked in and cannot be changed.

The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated. All components of the prize selected must be taken together. No modifications or exchanges will be possible and prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services.

All travel is subject to availability at the time of booking and is not transferable. The prize can only be redeemed by the recipient named the winner and their nominated travel companion. Travel insurance for the winner is strongly advised. All travel documents are the responsibility of the winner. Travel insurance, transport to and from originating airport, spending money and items of a personal nature are not included.

The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize between publishing date and the date the prize is claimed.

The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained during the course of the prize-winning trip except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner and their companion sign a legal release form to be determined by the promoter.
