About Us

Business & Tourism Publishing (BTP) was established in 2000. The Directors of BTP, who each possess significant publishing and tourism industry experience, identified a gap in the marketplace of publications servicing the fast growing Business Tourism & Events industry. Their objective was to develop a publication that offered a fresh perspective, with balanced and informative content that was based on what the industry was looking for, with a modern look and feel.

Readers were looking to be stimulated by new information on industry trends, news and new products. Advertisers were looking for a more consultative approach and a better way of achieving return on investment for their marketing dollar, while gaining a greater industry profile and stronger cut through to the corporate readership who would buy their product.

It was through this foresight and industry feedback that BTP developed and launched micenet AUSTRALIA magazine. It quickly became apparent that the magazine had hit the mark. Within a short period of time BTP became the leading publication company within the Business Tourism industry in Australia.

BTP then became the first in the industry to develop a multimedia offering, combining the strength of traditional media with the power and immediacy of online publishing.

BTP has clearly demonstrated that an innovative approach works. By continuing to develop new ideas, drive business relationships, consult to industry and be bold enough to take on an industry leadership role, BTP has become the leaders in Business Tourism & Event publishing and the industry at large.

In January 2011 BT Publishing purchased the well-established consumer travel magazine Get Up & Go. Get Up & Go had been published by the one operator for 10 years. In purchasing the travel magazine Bt Publishing is expanding its reach into the travel market. Readership demographic for Get Up & Go magazine is the 55+ age group, retired or semi-retired, cashed up and prepared to travel the world. The magazine has an excellent pedigree and is respected nationally as Australia’s leading travel magazine for the mature-age market.

As leaders in the world of publishing by experience and professionalism, BT Publishing is growing the distribution of Get Up & Go magazine to expand its reach, striving to achieve its potential.
