Get Up & Go's search for Australia's most adventurous traveller for 2008 is on.

The annual Award is about the spirit of adventure and living life to the full by travelling in a multitude of ways. From camping enthusiasts and people exploring their home state, to avid walkers and people sailing around the world.

The national winner will receive a holiday in India for two, flying Thai Airways International valued at $9830, including airfares, accommodation, train, internal airfares and chauffered touring.

Any senior can be in the running to win the Award as long as they are aged over 60 and an Australian citizen or permanent resident. They can nominate themselves or be nominated by a friend or family member.

Terms and conditions:

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. The promotion is open to residents of Australia except employees of the promoter, their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion. The promoter is Mahlab Media Pty Ltd, G9, 1-15 Barr Street, Balmain NSW 2041.
2. The competition commences on 7/4/08 and closes at EST on 15/8/08
3. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be judged on creativity and travel adventure/s. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be notified by mail by 21/8/08, and their name published in the spring 2008 issue of Get Up & Go. The prize is not redeemable for cash.
4. To enter, answer the questions on page 25 and write in 400 words or less a description of your adventures or what led you to make the journey (you can describe one or more trips). Entrants must send their completed entry (postage free) to: Reply Paid 78165, Get Up & Go Magazine Award competition, G9, 1-15 Barr Street, Balmain NSW 2041.
5. The best entry, determined by the judges in their sole discretion, will win two return tickets to New Delhi, flying economy class with Thai Airways International, with ticket value at $3415 per ticket. The winner will be able to redeem their flights subject to availability. The flights are not available during peak season and periods of embargo – school holidays. (Peak period for India is 22 November to 15 January and hence travel is not permitted during this period.)
   Winner and companion will enjoy Designer Holidays’ special itinerary package. The trip worth approximately $5000 (for two people) will include: six extraordinary days in Delhi, New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and back to Delhi. Transport between cities will be provided including: cycle rickshaw, chauffeured car and the Shatabdi Express train (first class travel) from Delhi to Agra. There will be a transfer from New Delhi Airport to hotel with traditional welcome with a garland of flowers.
   One-way economy class flight on Indian Airlines from Jaipur to Delhi is provided. Taj hotels will be the accommodation hosts, with properties such as the Taj Place Delhi; the Taj View, Agra; the Jai Mahal Palace, Jaipur. Accommodation for two people on twin share basis – at nominated hotels or similar (subject to availability). Breakfast at the individual hotels is included. Sightseeing tours of Old Delhi, New Delhi, a tour to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort. Air-conditioned ground transport from Agra to the famed city of Fatepur Sikri and the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, the City Palace and Museum and the local city market of Jaipur. Full sightseeing will include an English-speaking tour guide. This trip to India must be taken between 15 May –15 September 2009.
6. The prize, flights and trip to India must be taken before 15 September 2009, and is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
   
7. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize between publishing date and date prize is claimed.
   
8. Entrants consent to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image for promotional and marketing purposes and agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities, as requested by the promoter.
   
9. All entries become to property of the promoter and will not be returned. The promoter reserves the right to modify, edit, publish and/or use entries in any way, in any and all media without consideration or payment to the entrant.
   
10. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage. Whatsoever which is suffered (but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of the prize-winning trip or Award ceremonies or publicity. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner and their companion sign a legal release form to be determined by the promoter.
    
11. Concerning the flights with Thai Airways International, taxes and visas are the responsibility of the prizewinner. Not included in the trip to India are meals (except for breakfasts), all items of personal nature and any extra hotel room expenses. All travel documents are the responsibility of the winner. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
